Where is Aarav ??

The rain fell like whispers against the window, which created a distortion of the outside lights. Aarav sat alone in his apartment, which he used to listen to an old radio that played soft static between songs. The radio broadcasted his name at midnight when it began to play.  Startled, he noticed a damp letter lying near the door. He didn’t remember hearing anyone knock. The envelope contained no address because it showed only a drawing of a black cat. As he opened it, the lights flickered. The radio voice changed, which now read the text from the letter before his eyes could see them. His heart pounded. The message warned: “Before the rain stops, something will vanish.” A sudden thud came from the balcony. A black cat stared at him through the glass, its eyes glowing in the storm. Aarav stepped closer, but when thunder roared, the cat disappeared. The radio turned louder on its own. “You were not supposed to stay,” the voice whispered.
